Frankfurt wins by five over Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich suffered a heavy defeat from its host Eintracht Frankfurt, 5-1, in the match that was held at Deutsche Bank Park in the 15th round of the German League.

The match witnessed a special brilliance from the Egyptian star Omar Marmoush, as the former Wolfsburg player scored the first goal in the 12th minute, then Junior Ibemba scored the second goal in the 31st minute, followed by the third in the 36th minute via Hugo Larsen.

Joshua Kimmich reduced the score before the end of the first half in the 44th minute, but Frankfurt opened the second half perfectly by scoring the fourth goal through Ibemba, then Marmoush assisted Knauf's fifth goal.

This is the first defeat suffered by Bayern Munich in the German League this season, and with it Bayer Leverkusen becomes the only club in Europe that has not been defeated so far.

The strange thing is that the defeat comes from Frankfurt, which has not tasted victory in the last 5 matches in all tournaments, and the Eagles bid farewell to the German Cup a few days ago against Saarberkon, one of the German third division teams, with a 2-0 loss.

Perhaps the heavy defeat is a positive omen for Bayern Munich, as it brings to mind the defeat with the same score in the same stadium in 2019, which was followed by the dismissal of Niko Kovac and the appointment of Hansi Flick, and then Bayern achieved the historic Sextuple.

Bayern Munich's score froze at point 32 in second place in the Bundesliga standings, two points behind leader Bayer Leverkusen, while Frankfurt reached point 21 in seventh place.

It is noteworthy that Bayern Munich will face Manchester United at Old Trafford next Tuesday in the Champions League, before hosting third-placed Stuttgart next Saturday in the German League.
