Kimmich, Muller and Koeman are Bayern Munich stars

The honorary president and current board member of Bayern Munich, Uli Hoeness, announced the renewal of Thomas Muller's contract for an additional year with the Bavarian club.

The German international's contract expired at the Allianz Arena at the end of the current season, with rumors circulating about interest from major clubs, led by Manchester United.

But in the end, the 34-year-old Muller reached an agreement with Bayern to renew for an additional year and continue his legendary career in southern Germany.

This is what Hoeneß revealed in a media interview during which he said, “It is a matter of time and Mueller’s renewal will be announced. I think it is in everyone’s interest for Mueller to remain with us.”

Coach Thomas Tuchel had confirmed in previous statements that he was the one who asked the administration to keep Mueller for a longer period despite his advanced age, out of belief in the tangible addition he provides.

This season, Muller participated in 18 matches in all tournaments, during which he succeeded in scoring two goals and assisting 5 other goals.

Muller has been with Bayern Munich since his childhood, and played 684 matches for the Bavarian club, during which he scored 237 goals and made 261 assists over a period of nearly 14 years.
