Dortmund players turn against the coach, led by Reus, and a strange attitude from the management

German press reports confirmed that a large number of Borussia Dortmund players turned against coach Edin Terzic and demanded the German club's management to dismiss him.

Dortmund did not succeed in achieving any victory over the last 6 matches in the entire tournament, and it also finished the first round of the German League with a full 15 points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Dortmund was eliminated from the German Cup by Stuttgart in the round of 16, but its only achievement this season remains reaching the round of 16 of the Champions League by topping its group, which included Paris Saint-Germain, Milan and Newcastle.

Reports stated that Marco Reus, the Dortmund legend, was at the head of the coup against coach Terzic, and he informed the management in clear conversations with a number of stars of the necessity of changing the coach and that he saw no need for him to continue for more than that.

However, CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke rejects the idea of sacking Terzic, given the deep personal relationship between them, as well as his reluctance to fire a coach in the middle of the season because he believes it is futile.

After the 1-1 draw with Mainz, Watzke had a conversation with sporting director Sebastian Kehl, who takes the players' side and wants to fire the coach, but the president remains firm on his position.

In general, in the event of Terzic's departure, the Dortmund administration has its eyes on Oliver Glasner to succeed him, who is the coach who led Eintracht Frankfurt to win the 2021-2022 European League title.
