Bayer Leverkusen tied with its guest, Borussia Dortmund, 1-1, in the 13th round of the German League, which was held at the BayArena.
Dortmund took the lead through Julian Risson in the fifth minute, and after a torrent of missed attempts, Leverkusen succeeded in adjusting in the 71st minute through Nigerian Victor Boniface.
This is Leverkusen's first stumble in the German League since the fourth round, when coach Xabi Alonso's squad drew 2-2 with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
Dortmund stopped Leverkusen's winning streak that had extended since then, specifically from September 15, until facing the Festival Lions, which amounted to 15 matches in all tournaments.
However, Leverkusen is still unbeaten this season domestically or in Europe, but this draw would cause the pharmaceutical factory team to lose the top spot in the Bundesliga for the first time this season.
Leverkusen's tally has reached 35 points, and if Bayern Munich wins its postponed match against Union Berlin, it will share the top spot in the Bundesliga, with the Bavarian club having a goal difference advantage.
Against Borussia Dortmund, which continues its poor performances, reaching point 25, from which it is in fifth place.
