Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel confirmed his desire for Thomas Muller to continue with Bayern Munich beyond the end of his current contract in the summer of 2024, given that he has the physical and mental ability necessary to continue playing at the highest levels.

So far, Bayern Munich has not begun negotiations to renew Muller's contract, and according to German newspapers, he does not want to leave the Bavarian club and believes in his ability to continue with the team for at least another year.

At the press conference for the Cologne match in the German League, Tuchel said when asked about Muller, “We want him to stay with us in the team, and it is clear that he wants to continue playing.”

He also added, "Why should he stop playing at the highest levels? I see him in a very positive way. He is in good condition and everything is going well with him."

He concluded, "Thomas is an icon for Bayern Munich. He is a legend here, and he has our full respect."

Muller, 34 years old, played 14 matches this season with Bayern Munich in all tournaments, during which he scored two goals and made five others.

Muller's career with Bayern began when he entered the youth sector in 2000, and he graduated until he reached the first team in 2009. Since then, he has become one of the club's most important stars throughout its history, as he played 680 matches in all tournaments, scored 237 goals, and made 261 assists.

As for tournaments, he achieved many achievements, such as the Champions League twice, the German League 12 times, and the German Cup 6 times, and he also won the 2014 World Cup title with the German national team.
