Upamecano reveals a strange connection of the French language to his goal at Dortmund!

Bayern Munich's Dayot Upamecano revealed the moments leading up to his team's first goal against Borussia Dortmund in the German Clasico, and that the French language played a factor in that.

Bayern Munich succeeded in returning from Dortmund with a great victory 4-0, and Upamecano scored the first goal in the second minute from a distinctive header that inhabited the net of goalkeeper Gregor Kobel.

A few seconds before the goal, Upamecano appeared with Dortmund defender, Nico Schlotterbek in the box and between them a conversation with the smile of the German defender, then the French international pounced on Leroy Sane's cross and scored the goal quickly.

After the game, Upamecano said of the shot: "Schlotterbek spoke to me and said how are you in French."

"I told him in French good, and you? Then I ran fast and did everything I could to score the goal."

Schlotterbek's ploy to distract Upamecano with speaking French seems to have backfired, and that goal was the gateway to killing the game early for Edin Terzic’s men.

Bayern Munich's victory raised its tally to 27 points, a point ahead of the leader Bayer Leverkusen, while Borussia Dortmund froze its balance at 21 points in fourth place.
